Take care with words with multiple capital letters like LinkedIn

Multiple capital letters in a word (called CamelCase) automatically signify a wiki page link. It can be a current page like SuccessStories or a new one if the wiki page hasn't been created yet like ThisPageIsNotHere.

The link feature can be a problem with "LinkedIn" because it's a common word that is often repeated, excessive links distract from intended links, and such links can mess up a table of contents or links containing the word.

You can turn off a multiple capital word link by simply prepending it with the tilde character (~).

To display this Which is Type this when editing your wiki page
LinkedIn A wiki link LinkedIn
LinkedIn Not a wiki link ~LinkedIn

To convert a full page with many instances of "LinkedIn":

  • Write or edit your wiki page like you normally would
  • Select all page text in edit mode
  • Cut the selection
  • Copy the text to a new Microsoft Word page
  • Globally replace "LinkedIn" with "~LinkedIn"
  • Select all Microsoft Word page text
  • Copy the selection
  • Paste the selection back into your wiki page in edit mode
